For 3 years I used heroin and crack cocaine like it was my job, and even longer for alcohol and other drugs. I was so out of control that I squandered a large portion of an inheritance that my recently deceased father had left me. I’ve had many short periods of astinence, from rehabs or hospitals, even Suboxone with no lasting success. It was only through total abstinence and hard work that I achieved  true sobriety and recovery, with over 5 years sober.

I am proud to be able to say that after 5 years sober I’m truly happy and my life is a  joy even with the inherent ups and downs.  Today I have a wife and child, I am able to hold a job and pay my bills. My life today far surpasses an expectation I had in my first days of sobriety.
